Disneyland Paris with Kids: A Perfect 1-Day Plan (+ Time-Saving Tips for World of Frozen)

Disney Adventure World of Frozen Disneyland Paris

After spending A Perfect Day in Paris with a Tween, sightseeing in central Paris, we were ready for some magical fun!

Easter Holidays – April 2026

Top Disneyland Tip for Families:

Early Arrival: Arrive 40 minutes before opening for shorter queues, calmer entry and walk on rides.

Rider Switch for Parents: Disneyland does a rider switch service for parents, allowing you to take turns on thrill rides without queuing twice while the other adult waits with the child. Tell a cast member at the attraction itself and they’ll give a pass or a keyword to use.

Meet & Greet Pre-Bookings: You can book Meet & Greets via the app on the day if you want to see Mickey & Minnie. We didn’t but apparently they release slots twice a day, one morning and one afternoon. There are other character areas around both sites which you can just turn up for, plus lots just pop up in the park so there’s a high chance you’ll meet one anyway.

Morning: Disneyland Park

We spent the morning in Disneyland Park, focusing on rides in the same area to keep things efficient and avoid too much backtracking.

Work out your priority rides as the wait times were so much less when we first entered the park. Pirates of the Caribbean was 5 minutes, as was Indiana Jones and Star Tours.

We obviously had to have a family picture in front of the iconic Disney Castle.

Top Tip; it was crowded right in front of the castle but if you follow the path around to the left (facing it) there’s an incredible Disney Castle photo opportunity which you can take with nobody else in it!

Lunch: Iconic Mickey Pizza

For lunch, we grabbed the iconic Mickey-shaped pizza from Outpost Restaurant, perfectly placed near Pirates of the Caribbean and Indiana Jones (it’s right next door) in the Disneyland Park.

Afternoon: Disney Adventure World

(Where the new World of Frozen with Frozen Ever After Ride has opened, formerly Walt Disney Studios)

We met Goofy on the way in and enjoyed some rides including the new Rapunzel experience. Think spinning teacups but in boats under the lanterns in the sky.

We caught the 3:50pm Celebration in Arandelle lake show in the World of Frozen (there’s an earlier identical one too) and got a perfect spot (about 40/50 minutes beforehand).

Top tip on where to stand for the show: to the right of the reserved area (facing the castle), there are corner railings with views of both aspects of the lake (the boats go to the far left of the lake, as well as in front of the castle)

Top Tip: the queues for the Frozen Ever After ride were much higher either side of the lake shows. We went back later and shaved 30 minutes off the wait time.

Ice Cream Break

Straight after the lake show, we grabbed the viral princess ice cream from Chez Marianne.

Tip on where to find it: Take the right-hand exit from Frozen Land when facing the castle/ice mountain, it’s right there.

Minnie Mouse Band Parade

We happened to see the Minnie Mouse band parade before heading onto the rides which was a really lovely unexpected moment. We’d really recommend it as it brought the magic!

Evening: Back to The World of Frozen (Best Decision)

We returned to the Frozen Ever After ride later on, and this timing couldn’t have been better. We joined the queue at 7pm and it took 50-60 minutes which was the least wait time we’d seen all day.

As we came out the castle and ice mountain were lit up and the whole area felt completely magical

Dinner & Disney champagne flutes

We had hot dogs for a simple dinner from one of the street booths by Regal View Restaurant.

Top tip: This is also where you can find the cart that sells champagne in the viral Frozen themed flutes (the Disneyland Park cart selling different themed champagne flutes is at the end of Main Street, tucked in on the right opposite the castle)

Disney Adventure World Cascade of Lights Night Show

A little insider tip made all the difference thanks to a chat with a cast member!

While many people grab spots early down by the water we were advised to go higher and they were absolutely right.

Our exact spot:

Top walkway

• Against the railings (there’ll be nobody in front of you)

Halfway between the Regal View Restaurant and the entrance to Arendelle

• On the left side facing Arendelle

We got a clear, uninterrupted view, it was less crowded and experienced all the effects.
